Fight bacteria
The alloy we use has antibacterial properties. Provides some protection against bacteria that may form in your ductwork, known as OPPP [opportunistic duct pathogens]. OPPP is an emerging waterborne disease problem that affects homes and hospitals.
Bacteria, yeast and viruses are quickly killed on metal surfaces when cell walls are attacked by cuprous oxide (Cu2O). This makes the alloy particularly effective at reducing the build-up of pathogens in drinking water and providing a level of protection for you and your family.
At yingfu we base our production on this advanced alloy. While the hardness and workability of this alloy make it more difficult to machine, its strength, wear resistance and safety are far ahead of traditional brass.
Our decision to use this special alloy many years ago puts us well ahead of UK and global compliance standards. The material’s strength and stiffness allow us to create smaller internal parts and fit technology into tighter spaces, resulting in a clean, sleek product appearance.
